Head out on an adventure with your family and reconnect with nature! Family Days in the Woods usually flow like this:

  • Informal exploration activity (a “nature museum” moment, a short game, or another activity)
  • Once everyone has arrived: opening circle, a story or games
  • Snack and a story
  • Big group game
  • Lunch
  • Choice activities (crafts, a walk in the woods, etc.)
  • Closing circle

Some activities are calm, while others are more high-energy. Activities may include:

  • Crafts
  • Cooking over the fire or on the park BBQs
  • Camping and wilderness survival skills
  • Music and songs
  • Tracking
  • Hiking
  • Forest navigation
  • Group challenges and missions

Schedule & locations

The program runs on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at three different locations:

  • February 22  — Kahnawake: Kawisente’s incredible forest, where we can learn about her culture and the natural world
  • March 22 — Jardins Carya: an organic farm in the West Island
  • April 19 — Parc Angrignon: an amazing urban park with lots of space to explore
  • May 24 — Jardins Carya
