Details
This is an adventuresome crew of youth, who love playing epic games outside, practicing forest skills, sneaking around to observe animals, singing and ''getting lost''. We start some great art projects, learn wood carving, weave baskets, and learn knots. When your child participates in a program like this, these routines of nature connection can really sink in and contribute positively to their physical and mental health.
This program includes field trips to Kahnawake to meet with native knowledge keepers, and an organic vegetable farm in Senneville called Jardins Carya (transport included). It also includes 2 camping trips during the year (fall and spring, transport not included).
This program meets at the same time as the Dragonflies program (ages 6-7) (but involves camping trips).
The program is currently ongoing and has some spots available.

Foxes and Otters
“Passion is lifted from the earth itself by the muddy hands of the young; it travels along grass-stained sleeves to the heart… If we are going to save environmentalism and the environment, we must also save an endangered indicator species: the child in nature.” — Richard Louv
