Are you ready to slip away in Nature to learn ancient and amazing skills with a group of like-minded people? This is a program for teens between 13 and 17 years old to be immersed in nature and community.

The goals of this program are to develop participants’ wilderness living skills and ecological literacy, develop their self-awareness and self-expression, and nourish their genius and personal gifts. This is a community space for every participant to feel safe and connected, a peer group of like-minded people led by passionate and skilled mentors. We will practice survival skills, learn naturalist knowledge, challenge our skills and awareness, and build leadership.

This program includes one weekend camp out where we will explore vast wilderness and practice the skills we learned together. There will also be an additional weekend option for elligble teens to participate in an event called the Fire Quest. They will spend the season doing some extra preparations (alongside our regular activities) and prepare for a weekend campout where they will spend a night alone in the woods, tending a fire and reflecting on theri life and nature. This event works on a donation basis.

During the year we will have 4 field trips scheduled, 2 to Kahnawake, and 2 to Jardins Carya, an organic farm in Senneville. We encourage and help facilitate carpooling so that the drive out is less of a stressor.

Projects and activities will depend on the passions and curiosities of the participants, but may include:

• Skills of shelter, fire, water, and food
• Song-writing
• Archery
• Building bows and arrows
• Wild edible and medicinal plants
• Animal tracking
• Camouflage and invisibility skills
• Learning the language of the birds
• Leather shoe-making

This Program includes 2 camping trips in Papineauville:
