Watch us in action:

The Coyote Camp experience

What makes our day camps so enriching for youth is the variety and quality of the activities… and, above all, the quality of our guides: mature, skilled, and highly qualified individuals who lead the groups.

The days begin with games and a nature museum. Once everyone has arrived, we hold an opening circle, followed by a story that introduces the day’s theme. The children are grouped by age and spend the day exploring, creating, and participating in activities related to the theme. They are free to discover the magic and mysteries of the forest. The day ends with a closing circle to reflect on the highlights of the day.

Weekly visits from a traditional Kanien'kehaka knowledge keeper

Each week, our camp is enriched by a weekly visit from Kanien’kehaka knowledge keepers, who add great depth to our explorations of the land. Participants have the chance to learn some words in Kanien’kéha, gain access to this rich culture, and discover inspiring practices.

These visits cover topics related to both past and present history, while also encouraging reflection on our vision for the future. They are adapted to the age of the participants and provide a unique and meaningful experience. Activities include stories, traditional dances, lacrosse, and more.

Visit to Jardins Carya and a day of crafting

Every Wednesday, we will take the bus to visit the Jardins Carya, an organic farm in the West Island. It is an incredible place that adds a touch of adventure to our camp. This outing is an opportunity to deepen our skills, our awareness, our perspectives, and to lend a hand on the farm. It will give us the chance to do activities that we cannot do in municipal parks: archery, pottery, wild harvesting, and off-trail tracking, etc.

Every Thursday will be dedicated to crafts. The children will have several creative project choices to work on over an extended period. This allows them to deepen a skill and feel a strong sense of accomplishment. Possible projects include fire by friction, clay pottery, willow creations, wood carving, bottle holder making, mini boat building, leatherwork, felting, and more.

The tax credit (RL-24)

Most families are eligible for the RL-24 slip, a Government of Quebec tax credit that is calculated based on your annual family income and covers between 67% and 78% of eligible childcare expenses (what is the RL-24?).

This credit can reduce the cost of a week of camp to approximately $95 to $160 (+ taxes), depending on the price selected and your family situation (see official 2025 rates).

Two ways to get the credit:

During your annual income tax return

Through monthly advance payments (on request) — Contact Hubert

Since our programs are recognized as eligible childcare services, you will automatically receive your RL-24 slip at the end of the fiscal year in your Amilia account (our registration software).

Financial assistance:

Is our camp still out of reach despite the RL-24? We also offer additional financial assistance for families in need.
