Details

In Montréal, you can come across deer, coyotes, weasels, foxes, beavers, otters, fishers, rabbits, wild turkeys, owls, and plenty of other incredible animals.

Winter tracking is a full-day experience dedicated to reading their tracks — to better understand them and deepen our appreciation for wildlife in its habitat.

In a small group, and in an ethical, respectful way, we’ll explore gait analysis (how an animal moves), track identification, aging tracks, and “trailing” (following a track line).

Each day is adapted based on the weather, the tracks we find, and the interests and experience level of participants. Bring your snowshoes, winter clothing, your lunch, and a hot drink. Children aged 10+ are welcome as long as they’re supervised by a parent.
